WSEPA began the way many good things do — parents talking to parents. We shared the same frustrations: confusing paperwork, meetings that moved too fast, and the feeling that we needed a law degree just to understand our children's education.
So we came together to change that. WSEPA exists to give families the knowledge, connections, and confidence to advocate effectively — and to make sure every child in our community gets a fair shot at the education they deserve.

To help families of children with disabilities understand their educational rights and confidently navigate the special education system — standing beside parents as informed advocates prepared to fight for fair opportunities for every child.
A Warrensburg community where every child with a disability is understood, included, and supported — and where every parent feels equipped, respected, and never alone in advocating for them.
We don't just offer sympathy — we equip parents to act. Informed advocacy changes outcomes for children.
No one should feel isolated. We build genuine connections among families who understand one another.
Clear, accurate information is power. We translate complex systems into plain language parents can use.
We partner respectfully with schools and educators, because children thrive when adults work together.
Every child has worth and potential. We advocate for inclusion, respect, and high expectations.
We stand beside families for the long haul — through evaluations, meetings, setbacks, and wins.
WSEPA is powered entirely by volunteer parents and community members.
